Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in Los Angeles and if you haven’t heard, it’s not for lack of trying. The former Manchester United player has arrived with a bang.
Welcome To The MLS
When he signed for LA Galaxy at the end of March 2018, Zlatan decided that he would take it upon himself to introduce himself to his new city.
He did that by taking out a full-page advertisement in the Los Angeles Times. It read, “Dear Los Angeles, You’re Welcome.”

So, He Gets Invited On Jimmy Kimmel
An appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! means that you’ve arrived in Los Angeles and even the host was stunned by the crowd’s reaction, they went wild. He said that is was normally hard to get a reaction at all for “anything related with soccer.”
Then Zlatan turned up the cocky-confidence, that he’s famous for, to the maximum. When Kimmel said he didn’t seem very Swedish he said, “I’m not the typical Swedish guy but I put Sweden on the map.” On that first amazing goal for Galaxy, he offered, “I know there are a lot of earthquakes in Los Angeles, but this one was me stepping in Los Angeles. I wanted to make a statement.”
