Tiger Woods is trying to resume his playing career at the Augusta National this week but he’s also fighting a legal battle off the golf course. Woods’ ex-girlfriend Kristin Smith petitioned to throw out the non-disclosure agreement she supposedly signed months ago.
According to TMZ Sports, an arbitration proceeding has been scheduled for Woods and Smith to try to iron out their differences with regards to the NDA. The gossip news site claimed that the stylist still believed that Woods was unfaithful, which led to their breakup last year.
The two started dating in November 2016. The media was quick to point out that Smith bore a striking resemblance to Tiger’s ex-wife, model Elin Nordegren.
Reportedly, the famous American golfer wanted to avoid the distraction of a media frenzy surrounding the breakup, so he got his ex-girlfriend to sign the agreement. Allegedly, he has “embarrassing pictures of her” which would be released to the press if she did not consent.
Smith, the ex-wife of Dallas Cowboys star Gerald Sensabaugh, reportedly called in the help of lawyers to dissolve the NDA.
It’s not clear what Smith could have possessed that would shatter the public image of Woods. The beleaguered golfer’s sex addiction and substance abuse are very well-documented.
Nordegren divorced Woods when she found out that he was having sex left and right, even with prostitutes.
According to the New York Post, Woods cheated on Nordegren with 120 other women, including their neighbor, who was then 21 years old. What made the sex more disturbing was that Woods reportedly knew the girl when she was just 14 years old.
Woods entered himself at the Gentle Path rehab center in Mississippi purportedly to treat his sex addiction. In August last year, he was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he slept behind the wheel of his Mercedes. He pleaded guilty to reckless driving after a DUI.
